The Pupil Premium is a government grant to schools for students who are in receipt of free school meals, who have been registered for free school meals within the last six years, or, who are looked after by the care system and children who have been adopted or whose parents or carers are serving in the Armed Forces. The Pupil Premium funding was introduced in April 2011.

The literacy and numeracy catch-up premium gives schools additional funding to support year 7 pupils who did not achieve the expected standard in English or Maths at the end of key stage 2 (KS2). The expected standard is a standardized score of 100 or more in the KS2 tests at the end of Primary School.
The government has announced recovery funding to support children and young people to catch up lost time after school closure. This is especially important for the most vulnerable and disadvantaged. Information on allocation is included in the Disadvantaged strategy.
Well done to these four. They were really kind to a younger girl they didn’t know as she waited in her wheelchair with her dad at the bus stop. Being kind is the best attribute of all. Well done boys, really proud of you 👏👏👏👍
Congratulations to this week’s Principal’s Award Winners. They are all stars 🌟
