In Design Technology, Art and Computing we believe “Creativity is the defeat of habit by originality” (Arthur Koestler). In all of our subject areas, we strive to create an ethos of ‘learning by doing’ and developing understanding, intuition and independence. We offer a wide range ‘real-world’ opportunities to apply skills acquired through Design Technology, Art & Computing.

At Key Stage 3 students will rotate around the different areas of the faculty and will gain:
Extra-curricular opportunities
Our faculty is frequently open out of lessons to students wanting to continue class work or develop work of their own. The students’ work branches out of the faculty and into several exhibition areas around the academy. The faculty takes part in a great deal of external competitions and initiatives.
Our faculty strives to create talented, thoughtful and creative young people. The staff members in our faculty are talented and enthusiastic individuals with a number of years of professional experience, who exhibit their work around the country.
