I am delighted to be Head of Year 8, and to continue to get to know you all a little better. You are a creative, ambitious and talented group of young people, who are committed to working hard. I am looking forward to not only the year ahead, but also working with you throughout your time here at Manor, so that we are able to serve each other, grow together and live life to the full.
With change also comes new possibility, so don’t forget that there’s more to school than lessons! I hope that all of you will find an extracurricular club to suit you. We have some wonderful musicians, actors, cooks, artists and sportsmen/women in the year and it’s important that you have some fun and find new friendships through the opportunities on offer.
Anyone who comes into my classroom will see a poster that has a famous Mark Twain quote on it
‘Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbour. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.’
Make sure that you make the most of Year 8, so that you can look back and be proud and happy with all that you have achieved, both academically, and personally.
Let’s make it a great year!

Well done to these four. They were really kind to a younger girl they didn’t know as she waited in her wheelchair with her dad at the bus stop. Being kind is the best attribute of all. Well done boys, really proud of you 👏👏👏👍
Congratulations to this week’s Principal’s Award Winners. They are all stars 🌟
Thanks so much to all our fantastic support staff and teaching staff on #ThankATeacherDay !
