As Principal of Manor CE Academy I am delighted to welcome you to our school. Thank you for applying to join us.
You are the latest in a very long line of students who have attended Manor as their school. We have a long and proud history having served the young people of York since 1812. We are a Church of England academy and our Christian vision and values guide, influence and underpin all that we do.
Our vision is that all our students “serve others, grow together and live life to the full”.
Manor has a reputation for academic excellence. We know how hard you have worked at primary school and we want you to work just as hard when you start here in September. How well you do in your tests and exams is very important, however, equally important to us is the sort of person you are. We want our students to be kind, loyal, patient, just, gracious, forgiving and compassionate. When you are at Manor you will have the opportunity to join all sorts of clubs, sporting teams, performing arts groups, you could join our Combined Cadet Force unit or take part in our Duke of Edinburgh award scheme or go on one of our amazing trips, maybe even to Malawi in Africa or Romania.
I hope you are excited to start with us in September, we are very much looking forward to meeting you all – I am sure that you will have an amazing time!
