Bio: Debbie has variously been involved with both teaching and research at the University of Nottingham over the past 20 years, specialising in criminal law with a particular interest in the treatment of vulnerable witnesses. My son previously attended Manor and this experience as a parent together with my higher education background has given me a keen interest in how the school can deliver a high standard and rounded education for all students whatever their ability and needs.

Bio: James Williams is Professor of English Literature at the University of York. He has always had close connections with secondary education, and is the husband of a maths teacher at another York Church of England Academy. Educated at his local comprehensive school (in Calderdale, West Yorkshire), he has a longstanding commitment to enabling state schools to deliver the highest academic standards.
