Welcome back Year 10!! I hope you have had an enjoyable and restful summer.
I am delighted to continue to be your Head of Year and to continue to get to know you all over the next two years.
This is where it gets real! You are about to embark on your GCSE journey at school and I will be here to support you alongside your subject teachers and tutors every step of the way.
“It isn’t the mountains ahead to climb that wear you out; it’s the pebble in your shoe.”- Muhammed Ali
My advice is – Take each day as it comes, ask for help, overcome your barriers, aim high, and do it for you! Remember it doesn’t have to be all work and no play. Allow time to rest / exercise / carry out your hobby. The key is to find that healthy work / life balance and make time for each other, whether that’s your friends / family / peer group, but do it all with a smile on your face.
You have faced many challenges as a year group and you are a resilient, creative and talented group of young people. I look forward to continuing to see you demonstrate our values at Manor of serving each other, growing together and living life to the full.
I hope you are all as excited and positive about this year as I am.
Let’s have a great year!
